It was announced this month that the finals of this year’s Pub League were postponed until a time it is safe for large public gatherings to take place.
Three weeks of wonderful Gaelic football matches, of both beginner and intermediate level, were held in Lindbergh Park in February and March.
There was good and bad weather for the matches, but participants still showed up and there was a distinct camaraderie among the players, both on the pitch and on the sidelines,
The Pub League is known by many as a tradition for the GAA players and new-comers to the game to play to warm up for the summer season ahead. Of course, it also acts as a great way to meet new Irish people and socialize in sunny Southern California.
It is planned that the finals will indeed go ahead later on in the year.
